I am a Stereography Artist with 12 years of experience in the VFX industry, specialising in 2D to 3D conversion — the meticulous craft of sculpting depth, parallax, and dimension into every frame of a film.
Working at DNEG, one of the world's leading visual effects studios, I have mastered three core departments of the stereo pipeline — from Rotoscoping to Depth to Finaling — giving me a complete, end-to-end understanding of how a 2D frame becomes a stunning 3D cinematic experience.
I also carry hands-on knowledge of Stereo Paint, making me a versatile artist capable of stepping across departments and solving complex visual problems.
Precision masking and element separation — cleanly isolating foreground, midground, and background layers to enable accurate depth placement in stereo space. The foundation of every great 3D conversion.
Crafting depth scripts and applying stereo offsets to create the illusion of three-dimensional space. Understanding depth budgets, parallax limits, and the emotional language of Z-space in cinema.
Edge cleaning and final quality polish — the last line of defence before frames reach the screen. Removing artifacts, refining stereo edges, and ensuring every shot meets the highest theatrical standard.
4 years of frame-accurate element separation. Clean, production-grade mattes for the most complex shots — hair, motion blur, and all.
4 years building stereo depth scripts, managing parallax budgets, and transforming flat images into immersive dimensional experiences.
4 years perfecting the final output — edge cleaning, artifact removal, and stereo QC to deliver flawless frames for theatrical release.
